Mvaneijgen: for your replies, but I was talking about GOG.com games. I could run the latest version, but I would think that could cost me more and would be a lot heavier than the older versions.
With that said, what would be the easiest, cheapest and lightest version of Windows that I could run? I know 7 has a starters version, which was really light back in the day, but is that ok to run GOG.com games or is it to limited. I was also worried about security, so I thought to run the windows box without any internet, but I think I will not keep that promise to myself and will find the convenience of internet too tempting. I would see what you mean if I still own the games, but I never had, I always rented them via the library, yes I know I rented Might and Magic VI in the library, so I don't mind finally paying for them. GOG has fixed it that you could play games on modern machines, right? The only thing is that some games where originally on OSX, but they are not through GOG, so I need to still run windows for them.
